(ET) Fw: Implements for Elec-Trak
This one, too.
James, you'll find this topic has been raised recently, as well as at
times
in the past (check the archives; see attached message).
One solution is a rotary inverter, that runs off 36v. Another is a 36v DC
input inverter. Or a 12v inverter, but across 12v worth of batteries at a
time (you can't series and parallel the same 36v worth of batteries at the
same time).

Cosmos.phy.tufts.edu, which hosts the Elec-trak list and archives,
will be off the net starting sometime this evening or early tomorrow
morning. If everything goes well it will be back up Saturday evening,
but as late as Tuesday morning is possible is something goes wrong.
They are shutting down the power to the whole university.
