Re: (ET) ebay e-20 plus loader on ebay
Well - it does with a little creaking, groaning, and twisting! This
loader with a bucketful of sand is probably way beyond the design limits
the engineers of the ET had in mind. When picking up something
heavy, I can feel the frame flexing under my feet and butt! I did
break one steering spindle at the "L" angle - this is an OK
design, but not meant for very heavy loads. If you do use a bucket,
be sure not to allow the front end to "plow" with a full
bucket, or it will overstress the spindles at sharp steering
angles. I now know to maintain a tight grip on the steering wheel
and keep the wheels from going to "full lock" when trying to
scoop something up under motion. A spindle with a TOP and bottom
arm to support it would have been a much stronger design rather than the
bottom supported (only) "L" shape. The cast iron axle
seems strong enough.
Then there's the issue of traction! I have a counterweight
box on the back (like the auction item), and full of concrete blocks, it
still can't back up a moderate dirt grade with a full bucket and chains
on. I bought but have not used those wheel weight adapters sold on
the Internet to add about 50 more pounds to each rear wheel.
Individual rear wheel brakes or posi-traction would be helpful - I'd even
settle for the old "half-track" design my neighbor had on an
old Ford tractor he used for brush hogging. By the way, I reversed
the rear wheels for stability (wider track due to reversed dish).

Well - I'll try! It's a bit complex, and I'll refer to the diagram
on my web site.
The two parts labelled "6" (plates with pins on them) are
bolted through the existing holes on the footboards. the two parts
labelled "5" are also attached to the footboards. These
parts have some spring loaded pins (parts labelled 15,29, and 14).
The rear subframe for the loader, labelled "4" has two slots at
the forward edge that engage the pins on the front mounts
("6"). The rear of the subframe is then swung up until
the two spring loaded pins on the rear mounts ("5") can be
snapped into the holes in the rear of the subframe. So far, so
good?
The tractor is then moved forward until the "daggers" under the
front of the loader frame (near the number "3") engage the
slots in the front end of the tractor frame - just like the front rest
for a mower does. When in place, the vertical rear legs of the
loader frame will be in the sockets on the top of the subframe we just
attached under the tractor, and two pins ("26") are inserted to
hold it together. Plug in the electrics, and off you
go. After initial assembly, no tools are required for adding or
removing the bucket or subframe.
Of course, its never quite this simple, but I got to a 10 minute
attach/detach time. In addition, the subframe can be removed (so
you don't trip over it getting on and off), and the tractor is ready for
any other attachment.
Hope this is helpful. Pieter

That's exactly how my Trak is set up, except mine is an E-15. For
info on the loader, see my website:
www.plitch.com
The loader works well in this application.
