RE: (ET) AllTrax -- Thinking Out Loud



The automotive industry is switching to 42V (3*14V) for future
cars to accommodate higher power accessories. I assume this will
mean 36V battery and 42V with running engine. (similar to 12V vs. 14V)

I think the Toyota crown royal is the first of this new breed of 
cars and the 42V PowerNet will probably make it in other cars over
the next view years. Anyhow, the point is that 36/42V components may
become much cheaper and readily available in say 5 years or so.
