(ET) More home-made vaccuum thoughts

I am working on fitting a golf cart motor to a 30" snowblower head (TWO
stage). I am fitting steel leaf-rake tines to the auger, closing the
snowblower "mouth" down to draw air just from the ground, running it about
2x faster than it did as a snowblower, and rolling the unit slightly
forward
to add to the raking contact space and thus duration. Old ET mower deck
casters provide the "hovering" height.

Anybody ever try such a thing?

Pictures later!
