I can't say I've ever experienced that with my E20. One thing I have
experienced is a partially corroded relay. With that, the relay will
engage,
but it lacks sufficient power to stay engaged and releases -- the process
repeats, causing a clicking relay and jerky driving (I really have to
replace
that relay).
The cruise control button simply serves to hold the speed so you can
release the
throttle. In most cases, the E20 has a spring-action pedal as the
throttle, so
that makes sense. In my case, I have a hand throttle that holds it's own
position, so the cruise control button is rather redundant.
