hi robert.  i doubt the stalling had anything to do with lack of springs 
on 
mower deck.  springs were, i think to help lift motor not work so hard and 
to 
help deck float over certain objects.  probably any similar spring from 
hardware store would help, or of course bill gunn.  also, what was 
stalling, the 
tractor or the mower deck motors?
