The longer wheel base could be a minus, if you have to do a lot of
maneuvering in tight spaces.
The transaxle will not live long when the tractor is used for ground
engaging implements, or if the tractor is used for heavy towing.
It will be interesting to see how the drive train holds up under
plowing
use, since there are only bushings, not ball bearings, at the axle ends.
The simplified controls are a plus, in my estimation.
The good news is, if you do scatter the gearbox, I have one. The tractor
it
lives in will someday have a 2318 transaxle, and E-20 CA model electrics in
it.
