RE: (ET) motor on E12S...

From Lee:

Since I quit using the reversing switch for a brake it's been years since I've had to replace a relay

Your message: . . .
I have an E-15 and after the third or fourth time having the
forward/reverse relay contacts evaporated I replaced the relay with a
much heavier duty one that I found at the local surplus/used electrical
parts store. The new one is completely sealed and much higher current
rating, but is 24V - so I had to add an appropriate resistor in series
with the forward/reverse switch. Can't hear the relay switch like the
stock one either. Now I haven't tried to give it a max stress test, but
it appears to be holding up with the typical opps'es.
