It was me.
I used paraffin, the kind you use to seal jars when canning. It's cheap
and works on a lot of different things. I use it on my sail boats all
the time.
Clean the plastic on any dirt or oil, and then rub the paraffin on the
disk where the switches rub the disk.

do a search on parafin. I recall the poster saying he used parafin to
lubricate the micro-switches. At the time I thought he was talking
parafin wax
but since thought it must've been oil.
