Subject: New Sep-X Controller specs Hello Everyone,
I cornered the engineer today and
got the latest specs on the new Sep-x controller;
Operating Voltage is 24 thru 48 Volts
Armature Current rating is 300, 400 or 500
Amps ( ET pulls about 170-200 amps max)
Field Current rating is max of 30
Amps
( ET pulls 3 to 4 amps field current max)
Switching Frequency is 18 KHZ
Throttle type can be either Inductive (like EZ-GO
golf cars), 0-5K or 5k-0 pots ( 5k to 0 is great for Wig/Wag pedal using
center
of 10K pot as the
middle)
Physically our 300 and 400 amp units are
the same size as the Curtis 1204, and our 500 amp is the same size
as the Curtis 1205 controller.
Features are;
Roll Detect, detects if vehicle is rolling even
with key off and applies plug brake
Adjustable maximum current limit
Adjustable HI and LOW pack voltage
Throttle Ramp Up and Ramp Down
Plug braking and Regen Top Speed
limiting
Controller is characterized for the specific motor
(including ET Motors)
This controller will replace all the speed control
relays and contactors, the forward/reverse relays and the resistor band on
the
GE ET's.
It's 90% efficient, 100% water proof
and will be $200 or less for a quantity of
one with a two year warranty.
Production is slated to start in about 3
weeks.
