I too have many restoration pix and a new schematic
of my E20.
I am currently using a 120 amp PWM controller (with
reverse, acceloration/de-acceloration ramps, potentiometer foot control,
regen braking, etc) and a combination 30 amp battery charger with a built
in 3,600 watt power inverter (can almost run everything in my house in the event
of a power outage as well as every power tool made that runs on 120Vac up to 30
amps). For field weakening I have a fast/slow dash switch
that switches in 50 ohms @20 watts in series with the field while
still retaining full PWM speed control in either switch position. Also,
the field is powered up when the disconnect switch is closed which then enables
me to sit on a 40 degree hill in LL without using the brake (dynamic
braking).
During my first mow through 6" of plush grass in
D1, I noticed a slight uneven cut aproximately where the blades
overlap. I have the new rear discharge deck set at 3" height and the
blades are razor sharp but I think it might be the lack of lifting issue earlier
discussed. Maybe I'll try the Gator blades.
I would also like to thank Bill Gunn for stocking
the replacement parts for my 30 year old tractor as well as thanking many of you
who offered your wisdom and experiences.
