RE: (ET) Mower stuff



An interesting thought.  I also own a vintage Gravely walk-behind tractor,
and there is an annual "mow-in" event for Gravely owners.  This year it was
about 75 miles from me so I went, and was surprised by the attendance.  It
was combined with an antique engine and tractor show at a local 
fairgrounds,
and the two major suppliers of parts also attended as well as many
individual owners seeking to swap stuff.  I would think there might be
enough ElecTrak owners around to "attach" a swap meet to a tractor / 
antique
machinery show somewhere.   I am puzzled, however, by the organizing of the
Gravely event.  There is no "national" club, no dues to operate from, no
command structure.  It just seemed to happen.  It's not clear to me how ET
owners  could arrive at an agreement as to time & place, advertise, insure,
allocate booth space, etc.  Maybe the annual Gravely / antique engine show
might be a good place to start.  We could see about attaching the ET event
to the Gravely event.

I want to try the side discharge mode now but I'm reluctant to spend
another $65 just for an experiment.  I wish we had an annual swap meet
for these tractors.  Has anyone tried to set one up before?
