RE: (ET) mower deck questions

The mower deck is very Spartan as is, removing parts will not make it
work better and definitely will not make it safer. Again keep the blades
sharp and balanced. The baffles if in good shape will strengthen the
deck and help protect the blades. Make sure the deck it true when placed
on a flat surface. Clean out the old grass. Place the bolts in the deck
with the heads inside so the grass will not catch on the threads.
Replace worn or bent parts as needed.

 Any garden tractors deck is the weak link to good mowing. Extra care is
needed to make it mow well as any deck on any tractor that is 25+ years
old will need TLC!
