Re: (ET) mower deck questions

Hey Jeremy,

Q1: Yes, on top of each motor, under the cover.

Q2: I think it's a safety thing. With the metal baffles inside, it may be
of
small use, but it's amazing how a rock can ricochet and find it's way
around
barriers. Without the baffles it becomes much more important I think.

Q3: I think this one is safety and performance. Mine has the baffles, but
evidently there is a newer style deck that doesn't need them? I also have
noticed past postings debating using baffles on the standard deck and I'm
not sure if a consensus was reached. I would think Bill has replacement
baffles.

In any case I'd be darned sure I had at least one (baffles and/or rubber
strip) in place. I've had two bad incidents (non-ET) with missing baffles.
In one, a small rock was thrown about 100 feet and destroyed my solar hot
water glass cover (4x10 foot safety glass). The other time I was running a
bush hog which hit a rock. I instinctively turned at the sound and a large
rock wisked by and grazed my forehead.
