I killed the *rear* lift motor on my ET by running it at 24 volts (no
smoke, just became flakier and flakier to the point of not ever
working). The replacement from Bill had the big 18 volts warning label.

But that was with the tiller in a small space and lots of up & down. So
a front lift only lifting a deck up/down once or twice a mowing may have
a longer life expectancy. maybe.
