Congrats Marty! Your story sounds familiar. I did
basically the same thing about 6 weeks ago. Just
finished the refurb on my I-5 last night. The only
thing I haven't done is put new decals on. Bill
hasn't decided if he has any yet. However my drive
was only 500 miles. I've really enjoyed going through
this tractor. Hope you have too. The low
water-in-the-battery issue is good to know. I didn't
know that it would contribute to an exploding battery.
This weekend would be my first try-out using it to
mow. Unfortunately, it's rained so much here this
spring I really need a 36 volt trolling motor mounted
to the rear. Even the golfers are complaining about
it raining every two days. Oh well, this is something
you really can't do anything about. It does give us
plenty of shop time!
