I just bought 6 batteries from Sam's Club in Harrisburg, Pa. The label on the batteries says they are distributed by Exide Technologies, Atlanta, Ga. Small world.
They cost about $47 plus 6% sales tax (about $50 each). I don't think they are the top of the line. The label also says they are "GC-2" and "110 minutes @ 75 amps".
I don't know what all that means, but the Exide batteries that I bought in 1996 are called "GC-4" and they still work. I got them for about $63 each from The Battery Warehouse.
