If elec-trak.org site is no longer being maintained, I suggest that someone make a mirror copy of it, just in case it suddenly goes off-line forever...

Also, I'm the one who originally set up the yahoo (formerly egroups) archive; mainly for the purpose of having a web searchable archive. The web-crawlers also index it, so we get more exposure that way.  In fact, we've had countless (I stopped counting after several dozen... ) subscribers who learned of the tufts list via that archive.

Over the past year I've been busy with assorted issues, and haven't even checked recently for new subscription attempts (I'm sure there are many sitting there waiting, I used to do between a few and a dozen every week or two, mostly as a courtesy for those who don't take the time to read the group information).  If anyone else wants to jump in and help maintain the group, I don't mind at all; you just have to promise not to open it up for open-subscription, I don't want to negatively affect the tufts list.

I had no response on an email to the site last year. It hasn't been updated in a while - Don Barry ( I think is the site owner), are you out there? The elec-trak.org site is the natural place to have it all (and already has so much!).

This group has the ability to post photos, and files, but our moderator should speak up on how or if he wants to control that. I posted a text file showing some parts substitutions last year, so it worked then. Problem is the Yahoo groups are limited as to how much space is available for these files, so we would need try to keep sizes down.

Barring the two methods above, perhaps one way to do it would be to post a text file with names of those with material and what they have. Individuals could then ask and get what they need directly with the owner. It's not a great solution, but it could work.

I have the ability to scan and create PDF files, and so I hope to make some of stuff I have available that way. I'll start with the mower stuff as it's small and I have not seen it on the web.

I have some material that I would like to scan and post.  Electrical troubleshooting, snow blower manual etc.  I tried to E-mail Electrak. org but got no response.  Can anyone suggest how to do it?

'Twas me.

It is a nicely kept E20 with very little rust. The fellow was very nice and
chased me down after I left because he forgot to give me the plastic battery
covers! He doesn't 'do' internet and so he had no way of finding the ET
community. Thanks to Harold for finding him. I wonder how many more are
sitting unused in sheds, waiting to be found....

The jackpot for all of us is a nice set of manuals - including the first one
for the mower deck I've seen and a mimeograph price list. I will try to get
it all PDF'd and posted here or to Elec-Track.org.

It's interesting - I have met several people from (or through) this list in
person over the past year and they have all been really nice folks. I have
found a very nice hobby (that I can pass off as a necessity when the grass
grows and the snow falls - which it is today).
