Since there have been so many 'updates', diagnosing the is unit remotely is
going to be virtually impossible, unless you can send photographs of what 
is
there, or are really good at observing a circuit, and drawing a schematic
from it.
     Having observed that handicap, lets get the batteries fully charged,
get the multimeter out, and start checking. Low system voltage will make 
all
sorts of gremlins surface.
