Re: (ET) Mulching blade

Interesting Idea to reverse the deck.  Why do you think the mower works better in reverse?  I was thinking the front baffles prevent the clippings from escaping before being cut multiple times.  The difference is amazing.  It just looks odd to mow a lawn in reverse!

Not only that, but cutting in reverse also 'sweeps' the lawn area as well.
It just occurred to me; why not convert (or make reversable) the mounting
of the mower deck, for just such purposes?  Ie, rotate the deck 180 degrees
and rotate the support/pusher arms... I might have to experiment...
Heh, use a pin arrangement on the mower deck mount for the 'arms', then you
can rotate it 180 'at will'... :-)

I have found cutting in reverse mulches the grass very well.  I have a rear discharge and standard blades.  I have thought of making a second set of rear baffles to create the same effect going forward.

I have not found one. Mounting two blades per shaft is also a possibility, but my success was very modest.

Hello everyone:
Is there a mulching blade available for ETs, such as my E-12 with
rear discharge mower?
Thanks, Bill A.
