RE: (ET) Tractor Pull

Morning,

I’m almost ready to load up my tractor for today’s events.  I pulled & cleaned the batteries, replaced the drive belt, and replaced most of the battery cables and lugs.

You are correct about George Gless.  He’s remained active with the Denver Electric Vehicle Council as treasurer and newsletter editor for years.  He really is one of the pioneering EV enthusiasts in this country.  I myself am a member of the DEVC and now serve as the secretary.  Please visit http://www.devc.org if you would like more info about the club.

Please be sure to introduce yourself at the event.  I’d like to meet you and anyone else who comes!

Later,

-Dave

Thanks, David and Joe for the info. about the tractor pull. I'm not going to bring my E10M, because I have nothing to transport it on for one thing, but I do plan to be there.

George Gless should be interesting to have there and to talk to. He is a Professor (retired by now, I think) of Electrical Engineering at Univ. of Colo. Boulder. I'm sure that he is the one who has been written up in the Boulder Camera for his interest and work in electric vehicles. They make good student engineering projects.

For the class of the tractor,  the number after the E was the design horsepower class that GE assigned, I'm sure. I should think that that would be used in a tractor pull.

I hope to see you there.
