When any of you guys use stainless steel nuts and bolts on the mower
deck motors, did you find the need to use a thread lubricate to keep
them from becoming galled together? What if I use a standard grade 3,
steel bolt with a stainless steel lock nut, any foreseen problems with
this?
I wouldn't anticipate any trouble. You do get warned about this, but
in my experience it takes pretty severe conditions (electrical contact
with aluminum parts and repeated immersion in seawater, for example)
to cause seizing.
