RE: (ET) Rotary inverters

Chris,

The unit is not water proof and will not fit in the tractor. You do not
want
it in a battery box. Remember it's a DC motor that will have sparks around
the brushes. I am mounting mine behind the seat on an E12 that I use for
towing stuff around the yard. Looks like I will use the E12 now for a
portable power source. You could mount it on the weight box or build its
own
stab mount. Front stab mounting is a sure thing. I have been using the
converter just as it came out of the box, not mounted to anything. The
converter is negative ground so you will need to isolate it from the frame
of the tractor. I just got back from the hardware store. I bought some
longer bolts to go through the wood isolation block between the tractor and
converter. Two longer seat screws should hold the wood block to the E12. I
hope it will be easy to move the converter to the E14 (upgraded to almost
an
E20) that has my new Trojan batteries when I need longer runtime.

Time to go back down in the basement and play with the tractor and
converter
and see if the wood block works. It's raining here today.

Really? I like the powerup feature. Is it weatherproof? Would it fit in the
front of the tractor above the batteries?
