RE: (ET) Information please

It depends on which 3 motor deck...

All the belly decks I have seen have the larger 4.5" dia motors, probably
because the 3-3/8" dia are too high to fit under the tractor. They are
also flanged to lower the height of the top of the motor. I have indeed
used a belly motor on a front deck, but I had to make a large ring to
raise the motor height where it belonged. One could move the flange, but
that would involve removing and re-making welds way too close to the big
magnets in the motor shell. Belly motors also move the thermal interrupt
to the side instead of the top for more clearance. Another difference is
the blades have a different bend to them. A final difference (between 2
and 3 motor decks) is simply the size of the blade the motor is spinning;
the two motor deck has a longer blade. This increases the tip speed and
probably cuts just a bit better. Always makes me think one could make a
new deck with longer blades for a wider cut.

Hello List.
Are the electric motors on the two motor mowers deck the same as on the
three motor mowing decks? Or asking the question another way can the
motors from the three motor decks be installed into the two motor decks, do
they fit, to the bolt whole line up?
