Ebay often has used 36v golf car chargers.  A very clean looking Lester 
Lestronic II (fully automatic) is on offer right now:

This may be a 230 volt input charger.  Five bids, at about $150, reserve 
not 
met.

Watch out for shipping costs.  Some of these are real monsters.  The ones 
cited here say 30-35lb.  They are generally too large to carry on board 
the 
tractor, but can live in the storage shed or garage just fine.

You might also try local industrial vehicle and golf car shops.  Ask your 
local pro shop or golf course to suggest one.  In recent years some golf 
cars have been converted to 48 volts, and the old 36 volt chargers can 
sometimes be had for a hundred or two dollars (or less).
