Go to your favorite junkyard, buy a couple of seatbelts, have your wife sew them into loops about 1 foot in dia. Put one around (under)each battery. Works fine.

Has anyone come up with an easy solution for carrying batteries for
installation or removal? I don't trust my battery carrier (the old type
strap that bites into the battery posts), because these 6-volt monsters are
too heavy to play around with.
