Paul offered some good thoughts on using the Fair Radio charger. I have
a couple more.
First, these chargers are not as sturdy as they appear; I know of some
folks who've fried them. They shouldn't be expected to deliver more than
12-15 amps regardless of the voltage, and total power out shouldn't
exceed 1000-1200 watts. When using mine for a 144v pack (yes, it can do
it), I keep it at 10 amps or less.
Second, they really should have more cooling. I recommend adding a 3" or
4" muffin fan on top or in the rear. This allows you to run full power
out for an extended period without overheating.
