I have an E12S and don't know if the battery layout/hook up is the same...

As I sit on the tractor I take my readings from the forward post of the 
right 
rear battery and the right post of the battery next to the "firewall" 
(rear 
battery of the forward compartment). 

 I am pretty sure Bill Gunn of Technical Services has wiring diagrams.  I 
believe the wiring blueprint for my E12 came from him.
