A bit of clarification. Neil wrote about "panic" when the
drive motor doesn't run. For the benefit of recently new
owners that haven't had their ET on a steep hill... I first
learned my ET's brake was 'weak' on a neighbor's hill,
when pushing it disconnected the motor drive, and with
the brake doing little to slow the ET down, it picked up
speed. Fortunately I was mostly down the hill at that
point. The next time it happened, I quickly re-engaged
the motor drive, and let the regen control the vehicle
speed. It was not a natural feeling at first to 'trust' the
regen to maintain a pretty constant speed on the hill,
after years of driving ICE vehicles...
