when there's serious work to do under the et, i like to have the batteries
out and lift up the front end and stand it on its back end, so the nose is
pointing straight up in the air. although it will stand there by itself,
with a properly placed block of wood under it. its safest to use some 4 to
5
foot poles as braces, and or tie the nose to a strong beam above the et.
this makes inspection, painting and brake work a breeze, and it gets
back
wheels off the ground, so they can be spun and perhaps diagnose the
rearend
problem.
you'll also be able to see what type of brakes you have, and by
describing them to bill g. he'll be able to send you new brake parts.
regarding the fuel guage, on several ets i've measured voltage on,
each
has read different voltages at the full mark on the guage. measure your
voltage a few times and you'll get to know when its really full. good
luck,
