(ET) DRIVE MOTOR TEST

The drive motor on my 26AE12CA has 2 large studs on the ouside with 2 large
wires (pos and neg?) attached to them. There are also 6 smaller wires (2-plug
and 4-plug) going into the motor housing.
Could I just unhook everything and test the motor by attaching a pos cable
and a neg cable to the large posts and hooking up to a battery pack?
