Title: Re: (ET) Bill Gunn
Does anyone know Bill Gunn well enough to have him compose a letter stating his intentions? I read different things as to what is going on with him and it would be nice to hear it direct. The way it was sounding from earlier posting, I though that he stopped taking orders already. Now the postings are making it sound like he will stay in business if he keeps getting orders. I just bought a used part for two reasons; one, it was a lot cheaper than new and two, I was under the impression that Bill IS going out of business so it won¹t make any difference to the rest of the ET public if he gets my cash or not. If he is staying open until it is sold to someone else, it would be nice to know.
On a final note, I don¹t agree with those that state we should always buy new parts for our Ets. Many of us got the tractor for near scrap price somewhere (or free) and just want to keep it going. I agree that the ET is the way to go for the future and environment. But to keep our old ones running forever with ³new² parts will not have to much of an impact and will hurt in the long run. What should be done is junk the old one and buy a new tractor from The Electric Tractor Corp. The only way to make the ET the wave of the future is to support a company that was brave enough to bring the ET back to the public where so many other large companies have failed. Don¹t get me wrong, I LOVE my ET and will always have one. Maybe it will still my E15 or maybe a new Electric 0x. I will email ETC to see if any of their dealers may want to buy Bill out. Does anyone know what he is asking for the ET business?
