(ET) Mower Motor Help

I just bought some mower motors, but it looks like I got the wrong
kind.  I didn't realize, but these motors, allegedly for a Wheel Horse
mower, look like they would work best on a mid-mount mower.

They are wired with a pigtail which has a red, yellow, and two green
wires.  The flange is about 4 inches from the bottom (shaft end) of the
motor, and only 1 1/2 inch from the top of the motor.  The shaft is only
about 1/4 long!  They are about 5 inches in diameter.

Has anyone seen this style of motor?  I have one mower deck with skinny
motors and one with fat motors, but these new motors don't look anything
like either of those.  I was hoping to use them as spares while I
rebuild the motors on the other 2 decks.  Is there any way to use these
motors on the old front-mount decks?
