I had the inside of the battery boxes on my Honda Civic EV conversion
coated with that epoxy-based spray-on pickup truck bedliner material.
Great stuff. Nothing can hurt it.
You can now buy this coating in a kit. I've seen it at various auto
supply chains and even at K-Mart. It costs about $100 for enough
material to do your pickup truck (or at least a half-dozen ETs). I think
the kit comes with a roller.
You can buy the material in bulk at body material jobbers for somewhat
less. It's meant for use with an undercoating gun; I don't know what kind
of results you'd get using a roller with the bulk material. Its pot time
is pretty short, so you need to work fast.
