RE: (ET) Transaxle Trouble

I have not seen this on a small tractor, but have on full-size
farm tractors. It usually is either worn bearings on a shaft or
a worn shaft. You have to re-build the transaxle. I have seen
people with brused hands from trying to 'hold' the gearshift
lever in place on a farm tractor in this condition.

Subject: (ET) Transaxle Trouble

I have progressed(?) from a 3-speed transaxle to a single speed unit in
the
past two months in my E-20. The shifter just won't stay engaged in the
highest two gears. It pops out when the drive motor is engaged. Any
wisdom?

Thanks,
