How about this for a mower motor flange
repair:
Make a large "washer" with the inside
diameter of the motor body, and the outside diameter of the outer edge of the
flange. Slide it over the motor, drill the holes, and just clamp the
existing flange to the deck. I tried a crude one made from heavy sheet cut
with tin snips and it seemed to work on mine.
