p.s. I don't have a car but I can drive.

Hi all,

we have had a very late request for wedding ringing at Old North, probably
615pm meet on Saturday September 7.

As a reminder we also have a wedding at Advent that Saturday, 3pm meet. So
lot's of ringing that day :)

Please add your name to the ringing  attendance list

Anyone interested in going to Kent for an area meeting September 28th?
Ringing from 12-5, with an early lunch at 11:30, so we wouldn't have to
leave too early in the morning.
Matt is asking for RSVPs by September 1st, but I know we (as a band) are
not great about making plans that early, so let me know yes or maybe by
Sunday and I'll email Matt with an approximate head count.  We can organize
carpools later.
Laura has suggested driving by Brewster and taking a look at the bells
there, though they are not ringable.  That would add about an hour of
driving.

Hi all,

I'm thinking of organizing a focused series of spliced major quarters
working towards either standard 8 spliced or (more likely) pickled egg 7
and wanted to gauge interest.

The goal would be to find a group for whom pickled egg 7 would be an
interesting challenge, ring a few quarters to help folk learn the methods,
ring a couple of quarters of pickled egg 7 so that everyone gets to do it,
and then declare victory. I'd hope to organize one or two quarters a month
over the next few months until we win.

I think this is especially interesting as a way to let people expand their
major repertoire, so would be glad to have lots of folks for whom seven
spliced sounds new or tricky, as well as some helpers who are more used to
many-spliced major.

Please let me know if this sounds appealing to you, and if we have quorum I
will start looking at details.

Thanks!

Dale
