Forwarded as requested.... (E.g. a couple of people this past weekend told me they weren't aware of our 10th anniversary event.) I'm assuming you have an email group for Boston ringers -- would you be able to forward the below to this group? I'm also sending this to other 'nearby' towers (Washington, Toronto, Philly, etc) asking the same. We're hoping that those planning to attend will register by Fri Sep 30th as we will start finalizing arrangements in early October. Many thanks Tim ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Tim Barnes <tjbarnes23 gmail com> Date: Wed, Sep 21, 2016 at 10:39 AM Subject: New York bells 10th anniversary celebration: Oct 27-30, 2016 To: NAGCR group <nagcr yahoogroups com> Thanks to those who have already registered to attend the 10th anniversary celebrations in New York next month. In addition to North American attendees, we have also received a number of registrations from ringers in the UK. We would be grateful if those planning to attend would kindly register by Fri Sep 30th, as we will start putting QP bands together, etc, in early October. You can find the registration form and further details at http://www.trinityringers.org . The Saturday dinner will be held at Trinity Place , a former bank vault that has been converted into a restaurant and bar. The restaurant is usually closed on Saturday evenings, so we've booked it for a private event and will have the whole place to ourselves. A few people have asked for hotel recommendations, so here are a few: Hotels A hotel that many visiting ringers have used in the past is the Ramada in Jersey City (65 Tonnelle Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07306). It's over the Hudson river in New Jersey, but there is good subway service (the PATH line) from the hotel to the World Trade Center (and Trinity is a short walk from the WTC). Hotels.com (which I've found to be one of the best websites for New York area hotels) has rooms at the Ramada going for $127 a night. Ramada, Jersey City: https://www.hotels.com/hotel/details.html?q-check-out=2016-10-30&tab=description&hotel-id=174253&q-room-0-adults=2&YGF=14&q-check-in=2016-10-27&MGT=3&WOE=7&WOD=4&ZSX=0&SYE=3&q-room-0-children=0 Hotels in Manhattan near to Trinity will be more like $225 a night. Three recommendations are: Club Quarters: https://www.hotels.com/hotel/details.html?q-check-out=2016-10-30&q-check-in=2016-10-27&WOE=7&WOD=4&q-room-0-children=0&pa=9&tab=description&hotel-id=192357&q-room-0-adults=2&YGF=14&MGT=3&ZSX=0&SYE=3 Holiday Inn: https://www.hotels.com/hotel/details.html?q-check-out=2016-10-30&tab=description&hotel-id=477741&q-room-0-adults=2&YGF=14&q-check-in=2016-10-27&MGT=3&WOE=7&WOD=4&ZSX=0&SYE=3&q-room-0-children=0 DoubleTree: https://www.hotels.com/hotel/details.html?q-check-out=2016-10-30&q-check-in=2016-10-27&WOE=7&WOD=4&q-room-0-children=0&pa=17&tab=description&hotel-id=360465&q-room-0-adults=2&YGF=14&MGT=3&ZSX=0&SYE=3 I hope this helps. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with me individually if you have any questions on the event, hotels, transport or similar.
