Groton & Kent opportunities next week

   In conjunction with the NAGCR AGM weekend at Smith College (17-19 
August), there will be outings to other towers in the neighborhood 
(loosely speaking).  On Friday the 17th, there will be ringing at Groton 
from 11 AM until 3 PM.  I'm not sure whether there will be a lunch break 
in that time, but it's suggested that people bring something to eat. The 
focus will be on members of the ringing course and other people coming 
from Smith for the day, but all NAGCR members are welcome to attend, 
whether registered for the weekend or not. There should be plenty of 
rope time for everyone. I know of at least one person who is planning to 
join the guild on the spot, so I'll bring some extra membership forms in 
case other people want to join.
On Saturday the 18th, there is open ringing at Kent from 10:30 until 12:30.
On Sunday the 19th, we will welcome visitors to service ringing at the 
Advent & Old North.
