many exciting ringing opportunities

hello, bellringers!

1) We will have our standard practice and service ringing this coming weekend. Please show up; it is Easter Sunday (and erev-Easter Saturday), so it would be lovely if we could ring really nicely.

2) As a reminder, please let me know *ASAP* if you would like to ring in a 10:30 quarter at Old North on one of these upcoming Saturdays:
April 14
April 21
April 28
May 5
May 12
May 19

3) On Sunday, April 15th, there will be ringing for the Lantern Service (Patriots' Day ringing) from 7:30pm to 7:50pm and then for a little while after 9pm. Please let me know if you can make it; there will be catered foodstuffs and beverages available.

4) On Friday, June 15th, there will be wedding ringing at 6pm. Please let me know if you can make it; it would be great to have at least six ringers available.

Appendix:
As a general note for all ringers and ringing times, here is a reminder of the proper timing for the treble when pulling off, from Steve Coleman's 'Early Companion':

"'Look To,' you say loudly and clearly to alert everyone that it's time to get serious. 'Treble's going,' you say, as you start to pull your bell up to the balance. 'She's gone,' you finish as your bell just tips [irretrievably] over the balance . . . and definitely don't gabble them all out in a rush before you even start to pull."

"She's gone" will probably want to be said about when the treble ringer's hands pass by her/his face, depending on body size.

Thanks!
