A new addition to the field of literature based on change ringing is
a short story by Carl Frederick titled "The Teller of Time,"
published in the July/August 2006 double issue of "Analog / Science
Fiction and Fact." A couple of very minor points lead me to suspect
that the writer is not actually a ringer; but on the whole it is very
well done. I won't reveal the plot, but I will say that it involves
a most ingenious and original application of some fundamental
concepts of ringing. Recommended!
