Not much, as far as I know. I think I made it at some point, basically
for the reason you're pointing out, that guild-of-bellringers-contact
is unweildy, but didn't really do much with it. Apparently I was on a
mailing list making spree, because I also made bellringers-contact,
bellringers-president, and bellringers-treasurer, all of which got
pretty much just as little use, as far as I know (and are now horribly
out of date).

That might be clever. In any case, it would probably be good to point
one mailing list at the other, so that all mail is guaranteed to go to
the right people (say put bellringers on guild-of-bellringers-contact,
and change the official list to bellringers).
