Black hole hair: Quantum and Classical
Gia Dvali
NYU
Abstract:
Abstract: We discuss physics of black hole hair - quantum and classical - and some implications, such as, the possibility of a secret protection of global quantum numbers against black holes. The existence of black hole hair allows to identify loopholes in "folk theorems" stating that global charges, such as e.g., baryon number, are incompatible with semi-classical black hole physics.
