Case #2


A twenty-six year old male is brought to the ER following a dispute in which the posteromedial aspect of his right arm has received a deep knife wound. He is bleeding profusely from the wound. The bleeding is stabilized, but when the bandages are removed days later, the patient reports that he is unable to use his right hand. Examination reveals his upper limb to be flexed at the elbow; he also has a wrist drop, and has no sensation on the dorsum of his hand in the region between metacarpals 1 and 2. his body.
