Hansen, John T. Netter's Clinical ANatomy Novartis Medical Education 2005. This is an excellent pocket-book size atlas that compliments the anatomical atlases listed above.

 

Board Review Books

A number of Board Review books are available in the bookstore. They are good only after you have learned basic anatomt. Therefore it is best to get them later on in the course.

SUPPLIES

Individual

Two long white lab coats, clean at all times

Rubber gloves

One Student-quality plastic skull. The bookstore has good skulls made in Germany by the Somso Company. About $140 each.

Please note that contact lenses are NOT permitted in the lab. Bring your regular glasses to lab.

Goggles or protective glasses.

Clipboard (non-transparent) for exam taking.

Per small group:

In the lab you will be working in small groups.

Dissecting instruments (there is a supply of used ones in the lab).

Members of the group should chip in and share the expenses of the following:

Scalpel blades

At least one atlas (from those listed above) that is in good shape. Atlases with missing pages are not acceptable. This "dirty copy" does not leave the lab.

Instructions for dissection --- this can be a printed copy from our On-line Dissector or a copy of Tank's Grant's Dissector, 13th ed. Lippincott, Williams and Wilkens, 2005.

All of the books and supplies are available through our bookstore.

Students may purchase these items from other sources of their own choice.

Locker Assignment Each students has been assigned a locker in M&V for his or her personal use during the course. These lockers MUST be vacated by December 15th, the last day of teh Fall semester. The campus security will cut locks and dispose of the contents of lockers that are not emptied out.
