Thread-topic: [tg] berks covid opinion poll

I agree with not requiring Covid tests. There are a lot of communicable diseases that don’t have vaccines and/or easily available tests, and we should strive to avoid all of them 🙂: handwashing, hand sanitizer, masks if desired, and not attending if contagious.

If you can believe the CDC's data, the number of deaths from flu in 2024 (the last year with reported numbers)

was 45K vs 31K for COVID, and COVID dropped out of the top 10 for causes of death (to 15th). That's a relatively

bad year historically for flu, but that just points up the lesser risk from COVID these days.
