Re: [tg] Material difficulty level

For what it’s worth, I had a blast with the material yesterday! For those who weren’t there, I believe it was something like:
1: Warmup tip of C-Gulls
2: Julie Dance
3-4: Friday the 13th
5-end: Julie Dance

I am sorry to hear that not everyone had as much fun. I want to reiterate on the off chance it helps anyone that it’s really okay to make mistakes. I certainly make my fair share! In fact, I think I’d personally have significantly less fun if we were doing material where I never made mistakes, but I don’t think we’re in danger of that.

If it’s mostly the esoteric dances that a few people dislike dancing, then on nights like last night when we always had 10+ dancers, I would hope we could somehow align the outs with the material to make it work.

Also, I feel like I hyped Justin up for Friday the 13th so I would vote for doing some more of that the next two weeks while he’s in town.

Sorry to hear that not everyone enjoyed it. Obviously my preferences shouldn't have much weight in the overall direction of the group.

2.  "General audience" C4, like C-Gulls or Importers (I think of this as what National Challenge or AACE C4 was)
3.  Invitational harder C4 (Berkshires, Julie's dances)
4.  Esoteric material that some members may not wish to dance (e.g., Friday the 13th, Winchester [for completely different reasons])

Can folks think of other categories?

Maybe we can discuss this at next tg?
