I'm not sure of the exact covid-19 precaution algorithm, but I think https://www.mwra.com/media/file/mwradata20241216-data shows the 7-day average is 920 in the south and 703 in the north, and I assume we're in the north so I think we're once again not requiring precautions? (But between the marginal numbers and forthcoming travel, it's probably a good time to be more cautious than usual.)
I expect we'll be meeting at my place. (If we could get a classroom and people would find it similarly easy to get to, maybe we should do that for the added space?)
Unsurprisingly, nobody has RSVP'd yes for Christmas day, we have lots of no's, and even if every regular who's blank was really a yes we'd only have six-ish, so I think we're solidly down.
New Year's Day is more plausible -- if there's a chance you want to dance then, try to fill out the spreadsheet (even a "maybe" is something) in the next week or so. Unless we get some interest, my next email on the topic will probably be to declare us down (and be before Sunday the 29th).
(It doesn't hurt to get an early start on 1/8 availability either.) ~~Alex On Sun, 8 Dec 2024, John Hawley via tg wrote:
Hi Everyone, I will be out of the country and not checking my email for a while. Alex has volunteered to send the emails for next week (and possibly the following two weeks, though I suspect there won't be a square on Christmas or New Year's Day. I may or may not remember to send email on 1/5, but I will definitely resume by 1/12.
