I think this is an interesting idea that shows the connections between a
number of pairs of calls.  However, I'm not convinced that it would be
an improvement to the level.  It adds a a new way of designating
diagonal pairs in a box and also a new procedure for removing phantoms
at the end of a call.  We already have a number of procedures for
removing phantoms and more generally for putting things back together
after a call, and I'm not sure it's such a good idea to add another one
that people would have to learn.
