Agree, but also, agree with David's point that people are going to want to
test before they travel to Western Mass for no apparent reason.
How about if we ask people to test on Saturday, unless they tested after
5PM on Friday?

If we're going to skip the Saturday covid testing, then I prefer we put some
constraints on the Friday test. Perhaps something like
Attendees must do a rapid test on Friday shortly before attending (say,
5pm or later) and again
on Sunday morning. We will have a few on hand. Obviously, attend only if
the test result is negative, and if you are feeling well.

I like Eric's wording about masks, and I think David's right that if
you're not requiring vaccination, there's
no particular point in mentioning it. (According to what I've read, at
this point pretty much everybody in the
country's either been vaccinated or infected, or both, at least once.)
A reminder that I have a bunch of extra tests I picked up in the last
spate of library freebies, all of them good until
at least November 27th. I can certainly donate a dozen to the dance.

I have gathered opinions. I like the "Saturday morning test is kind
of
stupid since you just tested on Friday night" idea, so only testing
two
times, Friday and Sunday. Then I feel like the dance can buy a couple
dozen which I have found at $3.50/test online so that we will have
some
for those who forget and or feel aggrieved about the whole idea, and
it
won't break either our bank or other people's banks. Here is some
text
that I'm thinking of including:
-----------------
COVID POLICY
We plan to use a modified Covid policy from the previous time:
Attendees must do a rapid test on Friday prior to attending, and
again
on Sunday morning. We will have a few on hand. Obviously, attend
only if
the test result is negative, and if you are feeling well.
------------------
Last time we also said "Masks are encouraged, but not required.
Vaccination is not required." I could maybe just leave that out, or I
could include it.
Opinions?
